  • Mike Powell

    Pastoral Associate

I was blessed to be raised in a home and church in Niagara Falls New York where I responded to the gospel and accepted Christ as my savior at an early age, receiving a call to the gospel ministry in this nurturing environment.

I attended college at The Philadelphia College of Bible, majoring in pastoral ministry. During my college years in Philadelphia, I served as youth leader under Pastor William Marshall and was able develop my communication and ministry gifts.

I met my wife of 34 years, Tracy, a godly, gifted and faithful servant of Jesus Christ, in college. We have three adult children, Stephen, Grace, and Gloria, and two grandchildren, Kingston and Zorah.  We move to Alexandria, VA 33 years ago. I was ordained in the Gospel Ministry under Elder James Reid, pastor of Highview Park Christian Assembly. During the 80’s and early 90’s, I served in several churches as a youth leader and assistant to the pastor where I taught bible studies and led a biblical counseling ministry.  In 2000, we planted the Fountain of Life Church where we had the privilege of serving for 16 years. I am currently a member of Alexandria Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, VA.

My current ministry responsibilities as Pastoral Associate are leading a small group bible study, welcoming visitors to our services on Sunday and serving in whatever area I am needed. This includes mentoring older and young men and periodically assisting fellow shepherds in the gospel ministry through teaching and preaching.  Contact

Adam and his wife, Laurie, were married in October of 2001 and have five children — Mella, Dante, Brody, Asa and Miles. They are both blessed to be in service to the King here in Alexandria!  Contact
