Weekly Announcements

Women’s Evening Bible Study begins tomorrow (Thursday). We will be gathering weekly on Thursdays at 7pm in the Fellowship Hall at the West Braddock Road Campus. The study will begin tomorrow, Thursday, July 11th  and continue weekly through August 29.  For this study, we will be using the study guide on the book of James from the NT Wright for Everyone Bible Study Series. Please come when you can! We would love to see you for any or all of the sessions. We trust that attendees will experience a sweet time of fellowship, growth, prayer and mutual encouragement. Gracious Gatherings begin this weekend! Peruse our list of summer gatherings and sign up for any or all of them that fit your schedule. Lunch this Sunday with the Ntiboneras—The Ntibonera Band will be leading us in worship this Sunday in both services. Join the Ntibonera Band for lunch at West Braddock Road from 12:45-1:45pm on Sunday to learn more about their ministry. The Band travels and sings for the Lord, testifying to His goodness and mercies in their lives. The Ntibonera Foundation shares the gospel of Jesus Christ while collecting shoes, clothes, and other basic necessities that are distributed to the people in their war-torn home country, the Congo. Explorers, Sunday evening PROTAS youth group, Sunday evening nursery, the WBRC Bible class, and Koinonia are on break for the summer.

REFRESH – Community for Moms is this Sunday, July 14, 5-7pm Room 104 at RRC. If you are a mom of children aged 0-100, you are welcome here! Refresh is a monthly gathering of moms who enjoy the blessing of walking through the many different stages of motherhood together. Our time together includes encouragement, food, conversation, and learning together. Come check it out! Nursery during the summer is provided as needed, so please email Jackie McCauley ( as early as possible if you plan to use it.


Men's Cookout and Gathering on July 20 (Men and Meats!). Please join us for a time of fellowship and good food on Saturday, July 20 from noon to 2pm at the Renengers' home (2087 Grace Manor Court; McLean, VA) -- rain or shine.  Please sign up at either campus on Sunday for this relaxing get-together of your fellowAPC brothers.


New Officer Training Interest Meeting and Lunch, July 21, 12:30-1:30pm at WBRC. APC men, if you are interested in knowing more about being a deacon or elder, or if God may be calling you to be an officer, join Pastors Tom Holliday and Chris Sicks to learn more. An overview of both offices will be given as well as summer reading materials to help you prepare for the officer training class this Fall. APC ministry volunteers: We are entering a time where many need renewals of Safety Awareness Training and background checks through Ministry Safe. Please look in your inbox or junk folder for links for the awareness training and/or background check. Your prompt attention in completing these is very much appreciated. We value the safety of our APC family in the nursery, children’s ministries, in PROTAS and our seniors.


APC Men’s Samson Society—Men need a safe, confidential way to deal with sexual brokenness, in the company of other brothers, and in reliance on the Holy Spirit. There is a ministry at APC dedicated to this. If you want to recover from sexual brokenness, here are two resources: A 45-minute video teleconference, every Wednesday night at 9pm. Worship Translation Help Needed. Even if you only speak English, you can help your brothers and sisters at APC access real-time translation of the worship service into French, Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, etc. We have just begun a trial of a new translation service, and we need some help on Sundays running the software.
