Inquirer’s Class October 4-5 at WBRC. If you are interested in membership or in gaining a deeper understanding of APC, you should attend this class. You will receive an introduction to Christianity, the PCA, and the specific vision/mission and philosophy of ministry at APC. Membership is open to all who profess faith in Christ and believe the basic teachings of the Christian faith. Attending the class does not obligate you to join the church. The Friday night session is from 6:30-9pm starting with a dinner, and the Saturday session is from 9am-3pm. Please RSVP to Office Manager Sue Edwards at email@example.com or sign-up at the Info Booth on Sunday if you wish to attend, and indicate if you have childcare needs. Scholarships are available to help with in-home childcare costs for Friday evening, and childcare will be provided at the church on Saturday.
Benefit concert and worship night, October 5 at 6:30 PM at WBRC. Please join us for a fun evening of worship and prayer with the Ntibonera Band. They will be performing to raise money for their mission to bring shoes, medical supplies, food, and clothes to the Democratic Republic of Congo. Spread the word, bring your friends and family for a worshipful evening, and bring a pair of gently used or new shoes! Check out this video for more information on the Ntibonera Band. Volunteers are needed to help distribute post cards and hang flyers prior to the event. Ushers will be needed the evening of the event to take up a collection, and we also need help with clean up. If you are able to help in any of these ways, or have any questions, contact Vanessa Couture at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sign up for APC Men’s Study on Mondays from October 21 - November 25. A six-week video and discussion series, led by Elder Ed Culbreath, will take place on Mondays from 7-8:30pm at the Russell Road Campus Chapel. Authentic men are leaders by God’s calling -- whether it’s with their families, their vocation, or their church. God has a very clear purpose and vision for men that He lays out for us in His Word. This particular series is entitled, “A Man and His Traps” and is designed to help men avoid or escape the destruction that falling into the common manhood traps can bring. Please sign up at either campus after worship on Sunday.
Sign up for Men’s Breakfast on Saturday morning, November 9. APC’s men will gather on Saturday morning from 8-10:15am at the Russell Road Campus for a time of food, fellowship, and sharing. Our special speaker will be our own Tom Tarrants, recent past President of the C.S. Lewis Institute. Tom will address the topic of men discipling men: why it’s so important; what it looks like; and how to get started. He’ll also consider the challenge of forming friendships in an age of extreme polarization. Please sign up at either campus after worship on Sunday.
