We’re so excited you’ve decided to take the next step and become a member of our congregation. Membership at APC is open to all who profess faith in Jesus Christ and believe the basic teachings of the Christian faith. Anyone can join upon a Profession of Faith, a Reaffirmation of Faith, or by a Letter of Transfer from an evangelical church.

How to become a member

Anyone interested in membership or in gaining a deeper understanding of APC will want to first attend the Inquirer’s Class led by our pastor. There you will receive an introduction to Christianity, the Presbyterian Church in America, and the specific vision, mission, and philosophy of ministry of Alexandria Presbyterian Church.

The Inquirer’s Class is offered three times each year, usually in February, June, and October. It begins with a great meal on Friday evening and continues on Saturday with opportunities to fellowship and learn together.

The class takes place on Friday evening (6:30-9:30pm) / Saturday (9:00am-3:00pm). Meals will be provided (dinner at the Friday evening session, and lunch at the Saturday session). On an as-needed basis, childcare may be provided for the Saturday session.
