Fellowship at APC
Listed below are some of the ways our church family gathers together for fellowship. If you see an area below where you would like more information or would like to volunteer, please contact the church office.

Newcomers' Ministry
A special Newcomers' Fellowship Time is offered the fourth Sunday of every month, immediately following the worship service, for those who have been visiting three months or less. Please feel free to join APC staff and leaders in the adult wing foyer (between Rooms #210-213) to fellowship and learn more about the life of our church.
Additionally, three times each year we hold a Newcomers' Dinner in the home of one of our members so that newer attenders can have the opportunity to meet staff and other church members in a more relaxed atmosphere.
On Sundays, please stop by the Information Booth downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. There you can learn about the ministries of APC, our Covenant Fellowship Groups, Sunday School, and the thrice-annual Inquirer’s Class. Pick up recent copies of our monthly newsletter to learn more about the life and activities of our church.
Greeting Ministry
Each Sunday when you arrive to worship, you will be greeted and welcomed with a warm smile and a handshake, and if you're new, these greeters will answer your questions and help you to feel welcome during the time of fellowship. Greeters also pass out the Sunday worship folders.
Hospitality Ministry
APC's Hospitality volunteers transform every special fellowship event into a truly special occasion, assisting with everything from decorations to food. They also help with Sunday morning coffee during the fellowship time.
Retreats
Each year APC gathers for one on- or off-site weekend retreat, alternating between an all-church retreat one year and a men's or women's retreat the next.
Special Events
The APC family and friends gather together for all-church fellowship events throughout the year, including special dinners (Italian Dinner, Caribbean Night, etc.), festivals (SummerFest or FallFest), the annual Thanksgiving dessert and Christmas party, Coffeehouse concerts, canoe trips and day hikes, and movie nights.
Softball
Each spring/summer, APC participates in the Alexandria Area Church Co-Ed Softball League. APC usually forms three teams that play weekly on either a Monday or Thursday evening. These games provide a great opportunity— for players and for those who come to cheer the teams on— for fellowship and a chance to meet fellow Christians from other Alexandria churches.
