Children at APC
APC is a church full of infants and children, and thus there are many activities geared toward our youngest members:
Children's Church
Children's Church takes place during Sunday worship to provide children ages 5-8 a worship service on their level. The interactive lessons capture the children's attention and engage their heart as they learn to worship.
Sunday School
Children's Sunday School classes take place at 11:00am and focuses on learning the Bible and how to apply it to each child's life. The Sunday School material presents a gospel truth in many ways, starting with a lesson from scripture, a supporting activity, and if time permits, often a craft that is linked to the lesson.
Explorers Children's Ministry
Explorers meets every Sunday evening from 5:00-7:00pm and is for children ages five up to 5th grade. Explorers has been likened to a covenant group for children. The kids have an opportunity to build relationships with one another and with their leaders through game time, dinner time, and lesson time. Explorers is also a great outreach program for the children to invite their friends and other kids in the community. Homeschooling Ministry
There are several APC families who homeschool their children. These children frequently gather together for special activities. Please contact the church office for more information on what might be taking place at this time.
Nursery
APC offers a nursery for children under the age of five. The nursery is made available through the 11am Sunday School hour each Sunday, and volunteers are always needed to serve our littlest members. If you would like to volunteer, contact Holly Sanchez in our church office.
Vacation Bible School
VBS is an annual summer week-long event of discipleship and outreach for children ages 4 through elementary school. VBS focuses on developing the whole child through Bible lessons, service, art, drama, and a variety of other activities. Each day the kids will learn one truth about God's character. Contact Leslie Bridge in the church office to sign up your children or to volunteer.
